Slovenia 2026 150th anniversary of the Ivan Cankar's birth

The obverse of this coin features a central motif of concentric circles. These lines are reminiscent of both a fingerprint and tree rings. As such, they symbolize the writer’s personal identity and historical depth. In addition, the engraving highlights the author’s name, “IVAN CANKAR 1876,” clearly and legibly inscribed. This inscription marks both the writer’s name and year of birth. Furthermore, the word “SLOVENIJA” appears on the right side, followed by the year of issue, “2026.” This emphasizes the issuing country and the commemorative year.
