Finland 2026 Raili & Reima Pietilä EN BU

This 2 Euro Coin has been exclusively designed by Pekka Rytkönen, as a tribute to Raili and Reima Pietilä. On the obverse, one of their most important buildings: Dipoli, now in hands of Aalto University but originally owned by the Helsinki University of Technology. Here, the Mercury Staff is visible, and also the initials FI and the year 2026 are depicted here. On the right the initial R, referring to Pekka Rytkönen. The reverse shows the national side of the 2 Euro Coin. 

The Finland 2 euro “Raili & Reima Pietilä” 2026 BU Quality is placed in a coincard. On the obverse, we see the Tampere Main Library Metso, one of the buildings designed by Raili and Reima Pietilä. The reverse shows a picture of the duo at work.
